Question On RHEL7 steps to restrict direct login to postgres but get elevated access to it with my account.

On RHEL7 what are the steps to restrict direct login to postgres but need to get elevated access with my account.

Login with my act xyz01 Once logged in use
sudo -u postgres /bin/ksh (to get elevated access).

This account manages database and sends logs from Host1 to Host2 with ssh connection.

Thanks,
srao01

Is this a trick question??? You're asking for the steps to do something, then you actually LISTED those steps. Set your account up in SUDO, and use it as you just typed.

If you need further assistance, you can always contact Red Hat support, since you're PAYING FOR RHEL, right???? Otherwise, there are many guides and how-tos you can find on how to set up an account in SUDO on Linux. Read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature.
