NIS with nscd on, username and password caching issue
I configured my system against an NIS server and since I wanted to chroot while using scp service, I had to use nscd else it gave errors while resolving users. But now I am stuck at another issue.
The nscd cache refuses to reckon the password changes of NIS users. Once ypbind binds to a servers, no matter how many time i change the password, my system still identifies only the earlier password.
To add to the agony, even if the NIS server becomes unavailable, the nscd cache authenticates the users.
Though service nscd reload, clears the cache. But how should I make sure the cache is cleared each time the password is changes either by ypasswd command on the client or the server ??
