I recently found out that Shorewall is not running on my new Mandrake 9 install. I have tried shorewall show and I get

Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.

I tried insmod iptable_filter but this does;

/lib/modules/2.4.19-16mdk/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/iptable_filter.o.gz: unresolved symbol ipt_do_table_R1d0146ba


Help desperately required - our box is off the net.

Had ipchains and iptables installed at the same time - uninstalled ipchains
