try giving it something like this 192.168.0.0/16 (a CIDR address seems to work)

Sir,
I have been doing the same thing i.e giving the CIDR address, but openvas throws following error:
Code:
 Results of last operation
Operation: 	Run Wizard
Status code: 	400
Status message: Error in host specification
