Angry Lost password reset/retriveal?


I reset my password and promptly forgot it. How can I reset or retrieve it? Thanks in advance.

just boot the machine in single user mode ,
Procedure:- While booting in kernel line press e and in the end of that line insert 1 or single and press enter and then press b.. u will automatically be in single user mode there type passwd and enter your new password and reboot the machine ..that all

Just a little heads-up about the above answer: This is distro/configuration specific and might or might not work.
