Linux Mint 20.1 (Cinnamon): Firewall

Okay, guys, I was wandering thru the Menu on my Linux Mint 20.1 (Cinnamon) laptop installation, trying to get more familiar with where things are located, and I happened upon this:

Menu > Administration > Firewall, and
Menu > Preferences > Firewall Configuration

I'm confused. Can I use the second, simpler option, and not fuss with the first option?

Thanks, guys.

It should be the same, it's ok to try both since you - will need to put you super user password - and nothing happens just to open.

You can have some good clues how to handle with gufw in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avUFKQRFyKg

https://github.com/arno-iptables-firewall/aif
https://rocky.eld.leidenuniv.nl/html/
