iptables sys.log

Hi friends,
I installed iptables in my system. I enabled "CONFIG_IP_NF_TARGET_LOG"
option in kernel so tht it will updates "/var/log/sys.log" on every boot. so size of sys.log file increases..
I donot want to increase the size of sys.log file due to this iptables.
How can i achieve it.?
if i disable CONFIG_IP_NF_TARGET_LOG this one. tat file wont update, but while starting iptables i am failing..

any inputs from u?

thnks in advance
santhosh
