Question Iptables blocking certain websites??

Hi , need some help here

i am using mandrake now and got two network cards connected to this pc, one to the internet the other to the LAN, now i want to allow only certain sites for the LAN to view . eg. pc andy can only go into www.yahoo.com, other than that blocked. then pc david can go to yahoo, hotmail and google only
other than those blocked

is the iptables enough to do this kind of things?
or do i need another software?

TIA

although easily possible with iptables, you might be better running a copy of squid with an addon called dansguardian to block specific websites etc.

I agree...possible but definatly easier with a proxy IMHO. Not that it's really "hard" with iptables...just easier with squid.

If you want to stick with iptables let us know...but give squid a look

thanks for the advice

actually i have run squid but got someone else to install and set it up for me so kinda blur on what or how it works + i just downloaded dansguardian yesterday but dunno how to combine it with squid but wierd things happen this morning when i restarted my computer others clients connected to my compie cannot get into google
everytime they log into www.google.com, the only screen they get is a screen with the word " do you yahoo? " on it. ?????? what have i done wrong?

i ended up reconfigure the internet connection sharing using "drakgw" and after that everything works fine again

any help on this would be really appreciated and help on how to combine squid and dg as well as setting up dg conf for newbie like me

thanks
