iptables

how to stop a range of ports (e.g: 0 to 1024) on iptables?
i can't get the exact syntax please help

Do you want to block all inbound and outboud traffic? You would do that like this.
Code:
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --sport 0:1024 -j DROP
iptables -A OUTPUT -p tcp --dport 0:1024 -j DROP
