Installing a BNC on Debian

Hi.

Im looking to install a bnc for security purposes for irc. Ive tried to install psybnc through shell but its certificate is not updated and trusted.

Ive noticed its available in github but im not sure how to download from there.

are there any GUI bnc installations these days?

thanks,

For guis for servers in general, try the distribution mageia and it's package drakwizard. But about specifically bncs, I think I know what it is. Try going to the release options from the github repositories and that is the main way you download from github. Otherwise, you are downloading the source code. You can clone it, with git, and that's one way to get source code. Do you want to provide the link to where the github is, and I can further assist and see what I can do to help you install the program you want? I'm not too good from building other people's source code, but I can try to show you. I know "something" about code. So I can see what I can do if you want to provide a link.

Otherwise, try looking in your package's repositories first. What distro are you using, as if you tell me, I can help you find a graphical way to install the program, if that's what you're looking for. You were not explicit on what you needed the gui for, I don't think.
