helo i want to know about the installation scripts in vector linux
what is the location of these scripts
i want to change them to change the booting sequence to a more secure booting sequence
moreover i want to change the color of fonts etc..that come up during the booting process
I suppose you mean initialization scripts, not installation scripts. Vector is a Slackware derivative, so they must be under /etc/rc.d. First rc.S gets run, and the rc.M or rc.4 depending on your default runlevel, finally rc.local and that's it. Other scripts in the directory get run by one of these scripts. How do you mean "more secure"? It's not very insecure as it is, to the best of my knowledge.
