Post HTTP (OT)

Dude, what's with the pointless copying and pasting from other sites? You don't *seem* to be a spammer in waiting or anything, yet your comments are of no value here at all...

Chris, with respect, does your above post not break LQ Rule 4?
"Do not post if you do not have anything constructive to say in the post."

and also rule 2
"Personal attacks on others will not be tolerated."

I mention it because you have jumped on me - and others - for doing it, and I would have expected you to not do it yourself.
Perhaps you can give yourself an infraction and not repeat this? It really puts people off contributing here.

What they've posted in all previous posts is highly characteristic of a sleep spam account, and we don't really want spam on this site, so i'd just like to check.

Agree, spam is horrid and reputation building bots and spam farm SEO posters are pretty unwelcome.

Not having a go or anything as I have tremendous respect for you, it's just one of the mods here likes to throw the rulebook at some, but not necessarily apply it equally to all. It's become a bit of legend on other forums, and it really puts people off posting or contributing here, which is a shame, - hence my remark.

Your Google link, believe it or not, took me to a couple of places I've not seen which had brilliant advice, explaining some of the Apache directives really well - so thanks for that.

Next time you want to check issues like that please use email instead.
As moderator you should know better than to post OT / meta questions in a thread.
OT part split off and closed.
