A quick search of LQ will help. I tried searching "reset root password" for example.

Here's a link with a step-by-step for you

Nobody here will be able to help you "break" the root password, as the LQ Rules don't allow our members to provide help with cracking activities. What we can help you with is disabling/resetting the password, which is the type of help you've already started to receive on this thread. That said, suddenly not being able to login as root is an extremely serious condition, and it would be great if you could share with us some of the circumstances under which this came to be.

The default bootloader under openSuse is actually grub, not lilo.
