Hostname says Huawei on new installs but shows normal name when typing hostname

I have Ubuntu installed and my hostname is "computer".

The problem is when i open etherape the hostname says "HUAWEI"

I have reinstalled ubuntu a few times but it stays the same, "HUAWEI"

We dont have a Huawei router so I cant figure out why it keeps saying Huawei.

I have also reset the router but it wont change, every new install the hostname says "huawei" then i have to change it.

Even after changing it, the hostname is still Huawei on programs like Etherape.

I also dont have a huawei network adapter or anything

What could it be?

Code:
echo $HOSTNAME
cat /etc/hostname
cat /etc/hosts
How are you changing the hostname? Are you tethered to a huawei phone?
What is etherape reporting? You'll need to give more info.

Etherape is just saying that my hostname is Huawei but I'm not tethered to any Huawei.

I was thinking maybe its the DNS that someone logged on with a Huawei previously and now assigning me the ip with that hostname for some reason.

When I do echo $HOSTNAME it shows the normal name, not Huawei.

Etherape says :

Resolved name: HUAWEI
Numeric value: 192.168.0.108

Hostname can be sent via DHCP. Check the config for whatever is sending the IP address. I have a Solaris system that wants its hostname via DHCP, using ISC dhcpd.
