Having problem in installing openssl server certificate

hello,

I have redhat AS 3 server on which i have to install openssl generated SSL server side certificate.i have successfully created server certificate and placed the certificate at the location where our internal application config file reads it.i have set the concerned variables in this config file to point towards this server cert. when i stop/restart the application following error is recorded in the log file;

18:45:14.068 [TAS_CS] (2000) Err : SSLLib::Initialise - Failed to read key file
18:45:14.069 [TAS_CS] (2000) Err : SSLLib::LogErrors - error:0906D06C:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:no start line
18:45:14.069 [TAS_CS] (2000) Err : SSLLib::LogErrors - error:140B0009:SSL routines:SSL_CTX_use_PrivateKey_file:PEM lib

can anyone help me out where i am going wrong.whether the cert is wrongly created.

urgent help needed
