firefox 52.9 master password disabled, unwanted action

hi, I'm running a Debian based 64 bit Linux distro MX and I need an addon that is only available in 52.x firefox.
Having all my computers' firefoxes secured with a master password I was surprised to find it disabled one morning.
I routinely check my systems with rkhunter and chkrookit and I do not dabble in warez or scripts...
as of note the telegram program has been popping up on its own, still no reply why this is happening.

Ideas?

Telegram is a closed (not open source) binary, written in a country known for malicious software activity. Telegram is not an open source application so no one can review the source code. When you install a binary application with no source code, you have no idea what that application is doing or what it was designed to do.

Basically use at your own risk, which is why after I discovered telegram constantly phoning home to it's country of origin (not where the servers are hosted), I promptly removed it.

I am not saying telegram is responsible for your Firefox issue but unless telegram is a must have application, I would remove it entirely and see if your issue persists.
