I installed up apache and it runs fine. It's only for localy testing my php-apps. Now I tried to make a SymLink from /var/www/html to /home/lumio/Sites. But SELinux prevents that. So I tried, what it told me to do:
How much time did you wait for it to come back to the console.
When you run setsebool with -P option it takes time to make the changes. If you will just run setsebool <boolean> = on it will not take time because this setting will remain alive until reboot.
When you run setsebool -P <boolean>=on or setsebool -P <boolean> 1 it takes around 10-20 seconds to do the changes. Did you check the boolean once it comes back to prompt (after giving it enough time to run) using getsebool -a | grep <service name>
hi friends,
I am also trying some hands on SELinux but there is a lot of confusion.
I had initially heard that once we enable SELinux everything stops working but that was not the case. I enabled SELinux on my Web and App server still everything is working fine.
Can someone tell me the parameters that should be modified and how to do so ??
Any simple tutorial available with lots of example ?
