Errors in HTTPS setup

I have just installed SSL certificate for my private domain (it runs on a private ip in a local network). I got the trial SSL from thawte. I have successfully installed the certificate. However, when I tried to access through browser, it shows the following error.

An error occurred during a connection to blueprintlinux.com.

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

While digging Apache error logs, It shows the following errors,

[Tue Aug 17 11:20:14 2010] [error] [client 192.168.1.20] Invalid method in request \x16\x03\x01
[Tue Aug 17 11:20:14 2010] [error] [client 192.168.1.20] Invalid method in request \x16\x03\x01
[Tue Aug 17 11:20:14 2010] [error] [client 192.168.1.20] Invalid method in request \x16\x03\x01
[Tue Aug 17 11:20:15 2010] [error] [client 192.168.1.20] Invalid method in request \x16\x03\x01
[Tue Aug 17 11:32:31 2010] [error] [client 192.168.1.20] Invalid method in request \x16\x03\x01

Any idea about this?

Any help much appreciated!

Problem solved. I had an issue in SSL configuration file. It was not allowing the domain to run on port 443.
