Hi all,
I am Trying to configure Apache with OpenSSL, but when i am running this command

"SSL_BASE=/files/snort/OpenSSL/openssl-0.9.7e/ ./configure --enable-module=ssl --enable-shared=ssl --prefix=/usr/local/apache --enable-rule=EAPI --activate-module=/files/snort/apache/apache_1.3.33/src/modules/php4/lipphp4.a"

You have a typo. It's libphp4.a the correct module name.

Hi,
Can you explain what this means?

"configure:Error: Module source already has to be below src/modules/ to be activated"

It means that for some reason the configure script for apache does not like the full path to modules, but the relative path. So replace
Quote:
--activate-module=/files/snort/apache/apache_1.3.33/src/modules/php4/lipphp4.a
with:
Quote:
--activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a
