How come for a rule to work...say for instance u are blocking a source port 80 coming from the net to be forwarded to ur internal subnet, u do not specify the interface?
i tot by being more specific the mroe accurate the rule would be??im getting all confused with the rules. Im currently using webmin to implement all my rules due to simplicity.

I'm no Netfilter guru, but why shouldn't you, unless you blocked access to the LAN interface for the port earlier on in say the input chain?
