Talking Security update hits Window PCs

"Thousands of PCs around the world have been paralysed by a security update that wrongly labelled part of Windows as a virus."

WHOOPSIE! Is Microsoft inadvertently trying to tell us something about Windows?

Indeed, was it "wrongly labeled" or did they forget to blacklist/whitelist it ? It's a real question, a good one.

Au contraire, I believe McAfee has finally figured out that Windows is actually a virus. The only question is why it took them so long.

And for once, I'd like to see lawyers do something useful, namely sue McAfee out of existence. I can't even begin to imagine how big the cost of this fiasco is to businesses everywhere. Given how widespread this problem appears to be, there is absolutely no way McAfee tested what they released.
