Zandros Linux?

A friend of mine mentioned this to me.

Does anyone know where I can findout more info? Google doesn't show them as having a site(at least it's not showing up...). Information seems to be a bit scarce.

It's called Xandros, which started as Corel Linux. The company is based in Ottawa just like Corel.

Thanks Vince, was just 2 seconds ahead of ya

Ok, then since I'm on a small roll here...

How do they get away with charging for their OS?

Perhaps I still haev to understand such things as Open Source and such.

But, to take a stab....Red Hat does so because they choose to. But Xandros can charge as long as they don't take credit for the Linux parts they did not create?

You pay for technology that is not shared back with the community. you pay for a good implementation of Codeweavers technology. And, you pay for it in a tight package. Its been rated well for what it was intended for. They have a good support record, as far as I know.
