yum updates

Hi,

I'm trying to install yum updates on my RH 9.0 laptop (Toshiba Tecra 9000)... I downloaded the rpm, installed it but when I try to run it (yum install lynx), I get the following error:

retrygrab() failed for:
download.fedora.us/fedora/redhat/3AS/i386/yum/stable/headers/header.info
Executing failover method
failover: out of servers to try
Error getting the file download.fedora.us/fedora/redhat/3AS/i386/yum/stable/headers/header.info
[Errno 4] IOError: HTTP Error 404: Not Found

Do I need to update my yum.conf so it points to the right location?

Thanks,
-- Puli

You're getting an HTTP 404 error which I get often if the network is offline. Have you checked to make sure that you have an active connection and that the modules are loaded? Just check any internet site and if it comes up you are good to go.

also, try man yum. There is something in there about --import and you have to load a bunch of PGP keys for authentication. However I think the net connection is your problem at this point

I'm able to connect other sites on that machine without any problem... so pretty sure its not network connection...

I'll try the --import PGP keys options
