Yum

Hi all,

I installed Yum from Duke U. and ran the update command. It went through a long list with percentages and then stopped, returning to the root command prompt.

Did it install the rpm updates or just download them?

If it installed them - Yum Rocks.

Thanks.

Tom

If you did 'yum update' it should have downloaded and installed all the updates.

Hello Tom,

Which Distribution are you running?

If your command was this "yum update" yum would come back with a yes/no question for the installation of the update it found.

If you didn't get the yes/no question, it is probably more likely that yum did nothing.
