At first, this is a Linux forum, if you need help to install Windows you should better ask at a Windows forum. Besides that, if you can't afford a Windows license, go for Linux, it is free. Asking for a pirated copy is not allowed on this forum, and I doubt that this will not apply to Windows forums.

if u r a legit "student" with a accessible .edu domain email, you should be able to get a copy of win 7 with less than $30
http://www.microsoft.com/student/en/...s/default.aspx
and is of course, not FREE! ms "RAPE" u of for money, but this is already a very cheap option, considering some random softwares that rip u off for thousands doing some basic graphical functions. Of course, if u really do want to search for pirate copies, im sure there r a lot online, but with lots of risks too, it's a taboo in the forum to ask this. Please be aware.

The company that made the system generally would offer a replacement disk for a small amount.

If you wish you could try reactos and see how far it gets you. Dunno why it HAS to have Windows 7 but it is a good product and many people have worked hard at it. I have no problem with buying software and keeping programmers employed.
