XFree86 resolution wont load?

Hey, i use Slack 9, and i prevously used Slack 8.1. In 8.1 i could run in 1024x768 fine, but when i updated to Slack 9 (Nothing changed about the computer, exactly the same) I can only run in 800x600. When i "startx" it says this:

Quote:
(EE) MGA(0): Static buffer allocation failed, not initializing the DRI
(EE) MGA(0): Need at least 5625 kB video memory at this resolution, bit depth
and this is my /etc/X11/XF86Config file:

With the newer X, sometimes the file /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 is read instead. Do you have that file?

# Configuring X
Linux Hardware Compatibility HOWTO - video cards
The Linux XFree86 HOWTO
Common X configuring tools:
Debian - dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86
Mandrake - XFdrake
Redhat 7.3 down - the setup utility leads to several config tools
Redhat 7.3 up - redhat-config-xfree86
You may have these tools:
XF86Setup
XFree86 -configure
Xconfigurator
xf86cfg
xf86config
xconf

Wow, thanks fancypiper, this has been pissing me off forever! I got it to work using XFree86 -configure. Also, thanks for those good links! (Everything looks so big compared to using 800x600 for so long )
