XenialPup64 7.5 installation of Skype

I recently installed XenialPup64 7.5 and had no trouble downloading Firefox and Pidgin, and getting them to work. As for Skype, I downloaded it, using both the Puppy Package Manager and the downloading of Skype from their web page. However, it does not show up in Menu ---> Internet. The Skype icon does appear in usr/share/applications however. Does anybody know how to activate Skype in Lucid Puppy?

Jim VE7ROX,

Try this:

Remove existing Skype:
Code:
sudo apt-get --purge remove skypeforlinux
Get .deb file for Skype:

Code:
wget https://repo.skype.com/latest/skypeforlinux-64.deb
Move to Home folder:

Code:
cd /home/jim
Install:

Code:
sudo dpkg -i skypeforlinux-64.deb
In case of problems with dependencies, run:

Code:
sudo apt-get install -f
Launch using:

Code:
skypeforlinux
