Will CentOS live CD work on a Mac?

Hi,

Does anyone know for sure whether a CentOS live CD will work on a Mac?

A friend needs to learn enough Linux to be able to install software and to teach salespeople how to install software. I gave her a CentOS 7 live CD and a URL where she can get tutorials. She asked if it will work on her Mac. I've been searching but haven't seen anything that says either yes or no.

If there is a more appropriate place to ask this particular question, please let me know.

Thanks!

A link to model number and exact make when asking is always helpful here,

Thanks, all. I have asked my friend for the details about her Mac and will post when she provides them.
