WifiDocs/Device/Netgear WG311 v3

I'm a complete newbie trying to install a Netgear WG311v3 on Ubuntu 6.10 by following the HowTo document. I have all the required files and packages loaded onto a floppy disc But i'm getting stuck on how to copy all the floppy disc files to my Home Directory as required.

"the HowTo document" doesn't help us much, there are many on the internet.

I cannot remember when I last used a floppy(!)
But try this: Put the floppy into your drive.
Something may pop up on your desktop offering to show you the contents of the floppy, if so open this and then drag the files to your home directory. Choose "Copy".

If the above doesn't happen, use your file browser to take a look in /media - the floppy may be shown there, in which case, just drag the files to your home directory.

If neither of the above work (and I think at least one should!), please give us the output of the command mount when you have put the floppy in its drive.

Welcome to LQ!
