Unhappy WiFi detecting but not connecting OpenSuse11.0 KDE4

linux-qzyt:/home/fedexpress # iwlist wlan0 scan
wlan0 Scan completed :

ESSID:"ajay"
Mode:Ad-Hoc
Channel:1
Encryption keyn
Bit Rates:132 Mb/s
Quality:0/100 Signal level:-53 dBm Noise level:0 dBm
Cell 02 - Address: 00:04:96:2C:3B:48
ESSID:"K-Hostel"
Mode:Managed
Channel:1
Encryption keyn
Bit Rates:6 Mb/s
Quality:0/100 Signal level:-61 dBm Noise level:0 dBm
Cell 03 - Address: 00:04:96:2C:3E:08
ESSID:"K-Hostel"
Mode:Managed
Channel:1
Encryption keyn
Bit Rates:250 Mb/s
Quality:0/100 Signal level:-71 dBm Noise level:0 dBm

but K-wifi manager shows that

Searching for network : K-Hostel
Access POint : NO Access Point
Local IP : Unavailable
Frequency[channel] : 2.412[1]

Do I have to make any changes in Yast , or do i edit sth in K-WiFi Manager , I cannot open KNetworkManager as well ,
I suppose that there might be a pproblem with Network Key bcos wenever i enter the key from CLI

linux-qzyt:/home/fedexpress # iwconfig wlan0 key bhiuwireless
Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) :
invalid argument "bhiuwireless".

any where do i have to edit or add this option of network key in yast

any configurations that i must change , my tryst has continued for quite some time now , so any quick suggestions would be more than welcome

Does this at least take away the key error?

iwconfig wlan0 key s:bhiuwireless
