which wireless usb adapter works with Linux Mint on pc?

Hi,
My newly installed Linux Mint will not recognise the wireless adapter ASUS and I understand other adapters too. Which wireless adapter should I buy for my Linux Mint which will also work with my Lynksys router?
Thank you.

Welcome to the forums!

Please post the USB ID of your adapter. Run lsusb command in a terminal window to find it out.

Welcome to LQ!
First, it will help for anyone attempting to help you to know a few things about your system.
1. What version of Mint are you using?
2. What are your hardware specifications?

Next, how are you sure linux is not recognising your wireless adapter? To be certain, you can enter the following command and post the results.
Code:
lspci
It may be a little easier to help you provided this information.

Regards

Good catch, I assumed it was a USB adapter, but it may be PCI as well.
