Lightbulb Which release of Linux is best for Hadoop and SAS?


Currently I am searching a good Linux release for Hadoop, SAS and kettle.

Hi laoge.
It will help a lot if you explain what you want to do rather than what software you want to use.
It will also help to give details of the specs of the computer you intend to install to.

Based on what the software you mentioned is used for, it seems you want to setup some type of server or cloud system, am I right? RHEL is usually used for that in the Corporate world, and the usually recommended free alternative is CentOS.
