Which folders on my HD are accesible to everybody

Hi,

At the moment, I'm editing my family's photo album with my Mandy9.2 machine, and I need to share those pictures, because my parents etc. also want to view\edit those pictures.

So I need to place them in a directory which is accesible fro everyone on my computer...... how can I do this (are there some shared folders?). I know I can use my root account to give people acces to certain directories, but I prefer to do it without. That's because, I'd like other users (who won't have access to root) to share files too.

So please help me!

There is a group designed to do this on mandrake. It's the fileshare group.
Change the gid of the folder to fileshare and make sure that the mode of the folder is 770. Then add the users whom you want to give full access to this group. You can use userdrake program to do this.
Actually, you could create your own group to do this. fampics perhaps.
Adding members to groups is the way linux does what other systems might do with ACLs (Access Control Lists)
