where do the rpms install

I was just wondering where the rpms install the program that they have in mandrake, cause I have no clue.

it depends on which program you are installing.
e.g
I install emacs rpm:
->executable goes to /usr/bin
->libraries go to /usr/lib
you can check that if you use a package manager looking at the files that will be installed with each package.
e. g
select a package to install and check description and files.
