Where can I find the startup log

Hello, I am wondering is there a log somewhere of all the startup message that whip by the screen when you boot Linux? Is it recorded to a file somewhere? I am using Slackware9.1 with 2.6.6 kernel. thanks

Lots of log file there. Or you could try 'dmesg' command.
