Well based on what I saw, it is configured for a HP iPAQ rx3xxx. Is that you are talking about to use the file on?
ok I know that. But what is that for.I mine, is it for Kernel compiling like kernel .config) files or hp rx3000 ipk (deb) packages?
If its for kernel. Are we able to compile with normal kernel file like here http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kern...2.6.38.tar.bz2
or something diffrent?
Thanks.
If anything, that looks like part of a custom config for a custom kernel for that device. You would need to find the appropriate kernel for the device most likely.
OpenEmbeded is a build system, Angstrom is distribution built with OE that is cross compilable and runable on various hardware from phones to PC's.
You can edit the .bb (bitbake) files to use any kernel by pointing it at the relevent git store.
OE is really intended to be used for a build your own custom distro.
I've played around with it for a bit, but find its not very intuitive and its easy to get lost in the dependency requirements within the bb system and end up spending way to much time trying to work out which file to change.

Is there any other way to build or compile a kernels or packages for handhelds? I just want to have some information.
