Exclamation what does this mean

so im playing around with YDL6 on my ps3 got it to update firefox 2 to firefox 3 and now im trying to d/l from other repos but i get the following error

Quote:
/tmp/hexen2-1.4.3-1.ppc.rpm could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences.
why am i getting this error and how do i solve it?

im not very fermilar w/ adding repos or anything and am a complete noob at linux ( I.E. why im posing in the noob section) so detail and links are best if some one would b so kind as to help that would b kool.

i would also like to note that the repos i did add were all copy and paste tutorials so a description or explanation of what i exactly did would be nice also or how the repo system works.

helper application does not exist means that linux doesn't know how to open the file you asked for. to do so, check the associations of witch file opens with witch application.

but that's not what you want. you want to play hexen.
this guy has a better explanation of how to do it :

Fedora Development
