Question what does sulogin root account is locked mean and how to fix it?

hello all

story is

wanted to access windows 10 partion from linux (debian jessie), booted windows went to control panal to turn off fast startup, found it was unticked, so rebooted while holding shift ( read it disables fast start) system start reboot , message says installing updates etc dont switch off machine, takes 10-20 mins.. shuts down reboot to linux and get emergency mode sulogin root account is locked.... have the journalctl text here if it helps, have other didtribution (devuan jessie) using to type this on same system, obviously working fine... the debian system has worked perfectly for abot 2-3 years no problems of any kind ( even changed system board a year ago without a glitch!).
What caused this and advise on how to fix would be helpful journalctl text attached...

is it legitimate and allowed and can be done to make another user account set uid and gid to null 0 to make another root account with different name and possibly not damage the debian system creating and using that new account BenJoBoy Linux - Newbie 12 01-29-2006 10:02 AM
