What do you mean by MAN pages?

I know man pages are manual pages, but I'm not sure which one this site is reffering too.
Over the internet there are different variations of man pages. When you refer to it, is it from this site or to another place (tldp.org?). I'm just wondering because I'm afraid of asking a question that might appear in one manual but not in another. Help would greatly be appreciated. Thanx!

You already have the man pages. Type "man man" in a console to open the manual on the manual, quit with "q".
