what distro to use


I have an old compaq presario 7360 computer upgraded with 250 gb hard drive and over 256 ram I have the hauppauge wintv-hvr-1600 card. I was wondering what distro would work best for turning this into a dvr with the ability to surf the web also.Thats all im looking for. Thank you for your help.

Any of them will work, pick the one you're most familiar with and start there.

From looking at your other posts, it seems you are already somewhat familiar with ubuntu. Given your hardware, you might first try xubuntu, and see if it works for you.
