Wget through VMware

Well this is weird. When im try to download libstdc.rpm from other PC (not through vmware), its works. But when im try to download libstdc.rpm from VMware (Fedora 8), its show below:

Code:
--11:34:56--  http://root.net/dl/libstdc.rpm
  (try: 7) => `libstdc.rpm'
Connecting to root.net|192.168.1.2|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... Read error (Connection reset by peer) in headers.
Retrying.
Any idea?

How is VMWare networking setup on your system? Do you have network connectivity to it otherwise? Can you ping a site on the internet? What is the connection type from the physical machine that the VM is running on to the network (i.e. Wired, Wireless)? Can you access the site from lynx or another web browser on the VM?
