Weird question concerning so-called "is configured multiple times"

I guess this is how it happened:

When I do a reinstall, the old information install is still in my home directory and comes "along for the ride"

Where exactly can I find the old information?

Ever since I have been using Linux and ever since I do a reinstall this information is getting BIGGER. Please help me to get rid of this craziness.

Thank you for reading my nonsense, and have an excellent day!

Most config files are in .config but sometimes they're just in home with a .dotfilename. Most support files and appdata etc are under .local/share

When you remove an app, it doesn't remove anything from users folder. So if you install it again, it's still configured the way you left it.

Read the man pages of the app you're dealing with if it's not in those obvious places.

OK, I was pulling my hair out looking for directories/files, thus I will do the man page thing...I guess it will take several days to go through the man pages for {counting} 7, yes, Seven browsers.

Yes I am a bit weird, and no, I do not use Chrome.

Thank you for response, an have a happy day!

You DO know files/dirs beginning with a '.' (dot) are invisible to normal ls cmds?
Try 'ls -la' (a = all) to see them.
