vsftpd problem in slackware 9

i installed vsftpd from the source according to the instructions on the vsftpd home page. I did a reboot and then tried to ftp in and i got this message:
500 OOPS: vsftpd: not found: directory given in 'secure_chroot_dir':/usr/share/empty
i am running vsftpd from the inetd but what needs to be in this dir?
and i can't find this line in my vsftpd.conf so i guess it is something built into the program that looks here. Anyway, if anyone can help.

allright, i am a stupid noob. it said in the installation instructions to make this dir before running. When installing from the source you have to make this dir yourself and also another one if you want anonymous login. Anyway, i gots it.
