Red face VNC player install on linux system


will you guys please guide me how to install VLC media player in linux system(i use Linux entriprise 6).i want to run video files but don't know how to install required package for that.
please HELP me frens.

i guess you use redhat enterprise 6 ? vlc is probably not in the official repos due to copyright law... you can probably enable the rpmfusion.org repos and run

It is indeed in the rpmfusion repository.

Note the requirement to enable EPEL first. You also need to set priorities (1 for RH, 2 for EPEL, and 3 for rpmfusion) to prevent breaking your system:

i just noticed the typo... are you asking about vnc (virtual network connectivity) or vlc (video lan converter) ?

VNC or VLC

two very different things

Also there is NO operating system called
"Linux Enterprise 6 "

there is a NOT free commercial OS that you have to pay for called RHEL6.5
" RedHat Enterprise Linux 6.5 "
but you have yo buy the required !!! support contract to install software
