Very dumb.. Uploads?

I've searched a bit (on the forums and on the internet) but i can't figure out how to upload a file (say a html page) to internet (say www.geocities.com/nskl )
I would prefer if someone knew of a way to do it in command line
So i can have my corner of the net too
Sorry for this, but i just cant figure it out.
Thanks in advance

I believe that Geocities provides an upload tool for its members. In general, I'd guess that most people probably use ftp or something such as scp or sftp to move their files.

from inside ftp: put [local-file] [remote-file] . do "man ftp" for other options.
