UUID and label - not sure how to edit fstab

I want to be able to reference my backup disk from the command line a little easier.

Right now that would be

Code:
cd /mnt/7e63004d-27e8-462f-a152-7c53244752af
How do I change this so I can use

Code:
cd /mnt/LinuxBackups
here's the appropriate line from /etc/fstab:

Code:
/dev/disk/by-uuid/7e63004d-27e8-462f-a152-7c53244752af /mnt/7e63004d-27e8-462f-a152-7c53244752af auto nosuid,nodev,nofail,x-gvfs-show 0 0
I tried changing the name after the "/mnt/" but of course that didn't work.
Other threads, etc. have just confused me more.

Is there anyway to do this?

Yes, for your first question, give your backup disk" a volume label. If you want it automatically mounted at system startup, then yes, you would need the right line in your fstab file. In that case, you would create the /mnt/LinuxBackups folder first, then add the path to that folder in fstab.

Below is an example out of my fstab file.

Code:
UUID=95142a76-929f-495a-83db-48d71752a83b /other_hdd_drives/multimedia ext4 defaults 1 2
Hopefully that clears things up for you.

As always, the Arch wiki is an excellent resource: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/fstab
