You haven't told us what you want to do in enough detail. What have you done so far and what went wrong? Have you tried installing Ubuntu and got stuck while partitioning, while booting, etc?

Also, please don't put things like "urgent" in a subject line - it's not necessary and has no positive effect.

You have to tell us something specific about what is happening. For example, does the CD boot? What exactly happens and at what step?

Your title:

has two problems:
  1. "Urgent" here will not make anything happen faster.
  2. You don't boot Linux on Windows. When you go to install Linux, Windows will not be running.

I'm sorry, I was desperate...

...Ok, thing was I was not able to even boot the disk. But I finally did it by changing the BIOS so that the computer would boot thru the cd rom drive. I have ubuntu now! The only problem now is that the OS didn't find the sound card so I have no audio and it's really hard to type because the letters repeat incessantly even though I don't hold them down much, not even half a second! I tried fixing it by changing the settings but it keeps doing it. Sorry again for putting the urgent sign there.
