For a short while after I installed this OS I had wireless internet access on this machine on my home network. Then my wireless stopped working on this machine. It still works on another machine running Windows 8.1.
On the Toshiba Laptop:
1. I was able to access the internet via an ethernet cable to my router for a short time - but it also has stopped.
2. I have tried various fixes suggested by users on forums but to no avail.
How can I resolve this and regain internet access on this machine?
Regards

Reason: To clarify my issue better
Hi petelq.
Many thanks for your prompt response. I installed this OpenSuse OS sometime in October or November 2017. I tried configuring Network Manager to regain access with no success. I also tried some code that I found on forums and didn't succeed either. I had Ubuntu 16.04 on this machine previous to OpenSuse. (Originally installed as Ubuntu 14.4 and upgraded to 16.04 on its release. I encountered similar difficulties with the original 14.4 install but was able to resolve them somehow.
I gave up trying to resolve this issue late in 2017 and have just got back to it today.
Just a suggestion, and my apologies for making it, but it's always a good idea to make notes of how you solve any problems like these that arise - the problem may arise again, particularly if you decide to do a fresh reinstall. Also, if you are unsuccessful, make notes on any solutions that didn't work (if only a URL of the webpage containing the solution).
Hi all. I'd like to thank everyone for taking the time to respond to my post. I tried the suggestions received. I regret to say none of them worked.
Therefore, today I uninstalled Opensuse and installed Bodhi Linux. Bodhi seems to be working perfectly.
Again, thanks everyone for taking the time to help.
