Post Ubuntu Hacking

I am interested in making a distro based off Ubuntu. It is very much like Debian so I assum that tutorials on Debian are the same as Ubuntu.

Does anyone have any recomended articals on mkaing a distro of either?

Thanks

Why would you assume that? It might be fair to say that the tutorials would be **similar**---but why not use Ubuntu tutorials

I've never seen articles about how to make your own distro. I somehow doubt that the people making distros spend much time teaching the world how to do it.

My guess is that you will need to be totally fluent in a minimum of three things:
customizing and compiling the kernel
the function of all the utilities
shell scripting

Have a look at the Knoppix site as they have howto's on creating your versions and this would follow the same principle.
