ubuntu 9.04 error 21 while dual booting xp


ok. i know im a dumb@$$ for this one but i need help! I got the ubuntu 9.04 live cd working and i installed it promptly. too promptly as when i rebooted i got a Error 21 message and could not procced. i have even lost access to windows xp!!! I am typing this all on dsl from a flash drive. please help!
